% 29.06.2018 The petitioner seeks extension of his parole for one month on the ground that his mother has already undergone knee replacement of both the legs apart from suffering several old age ailments. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no other person to look after his mother as his father is also suffering from several old age ailments and he is aged about 85 years. By order dated 15.06.2018 the petitioner was allowed to be released on parole for a period of 10 days.
Learned Additional Standing Counsel, who appears on advance notice, submits after instructions that there is no other person to take care of the parents of the petitioner.
However, he adds that the petitioner has filed W.P. (Crl.) No.1236/2016 for his release on the
ground of deemed completion of sentence, which is coming up for hearing on 11.07.2018.
In the circumstances, the parole granted to the petitioner by order dated 15.06.2018 is hereby extended for a period of two weeks on the same terms and conditions.
