The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in case FIR No.535/2015 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at PS Prashant Vihar. Status report is on record. 2.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties including the complainant in person and have examined the file. By an order dated 25.05.2016, the petitioner was granted interim protection and was directed to join the investigation as and when required. Undisputedly, the petitioner has joined the investigation since then. 3.

Matter was referred to Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre to explore possibility of amicable settlement. However, the matter could not be resolved there. BAIL APPLN. 1082/2016

During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, volunteered to deposit `5 lacs without prejudice and subject to future adjustment (if any) with the Registrar General of this Court. The complainant urges to give the said amount to her as she is to take care of her child.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the petitioner's offer to deposit `5 lacs with the Registrar General of this Court, he is granted anticipatory bail and in the event of arrest, he be released on furnishing personal bond in the sum of `50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating officer. He shall, however, join the investigation as and when required.

The amount of `5 lacs, however, shall be paid to the complainant within three weeks through Investigating Officer by way of Demand Draft. This payment shall be without prejudice and subject to future adjustment (if any).

The bail application stands disposed of.
