W.P.(CRL) 1895/2018 Notice. On an advance copy of the petition having been served Sh. Mahajan, learned Additional Standing Counsel has put in his appearance.
The petitioner seeks parole for two days to enable him to appear in Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Behaviour Modification under the aegis of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the examination centre is in Sirsa (Haryana). He further submits that the petitioner had filed an application on 26.06.2018
before Jail Superintendent, Jail No.2, Tihar Jail, New Delhi but his application is still pending and has not been disposed of. Learned Additional Standing counsel sought time to verify and after a passover learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that the concerned Police Officer has verified from the Controller of Examination of the said university at Hisar that the petitioner has to appear in the said examination on 30.06.2018 at Sirsa (Haryana). In the circumstances, the prayer of the petitioner to appear in the said examination is allowed. The petitioner be released on parole today itself to enable him to appear in the examination at the given centre at Sirsa.
He shall surrender to the jail authorities on 01.07.2018.
The release of the petitioner shall be subject to the condition of the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent.
The petition is disposed of.
Copy of the order be given dasti under the signature of the Court Master.
