CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE MUKTA GUPTA

O R D E R

% 20.04.2017 By the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 137/2014 under Sections 308/341/34 IPC registered at P.S. Tilak Nagar and the proceedings pursuant thereto on the ground that the parties have settled the matter.

Learned APP for State has placed on record a status report as per which petitioner No. 1 is a habitual offender involved in as many as 19 criminal cases relating to vehicle theft, house theft, Arms Act and physical assault.

Learned counsel for the petitioner claims that the petitioner has been discharged in five cases which fact has also been noted in the Status report. Further petitioner been acquitted in seven cases, convicted in two cases and five cases are pending trial. In three cases the petitioner is in judicial custody.

Considering the involvement of petitioner No. 1 in number of cases,

this Court does not find it to be a fit case for quashing of FIR on the basis of compromise between the parties.

The petition is accordingly dismissed.
