O R D E R

% 17.08.2017 The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No.908/2014 for the offences punishable under Sections 279/337/338 IPC registered at Police Station-Burari, Delhi on the complaint of respondent No.2 and the proceedings pursuant thereto on the ground that a compromise/settlement has been arrived at between the parties in the matter. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are present in Court today and are identified by counsel and the Investigating Officer. They state that they have settled the matter with the petitioner of free will and choice without any threat, pressure and coercion. Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand only) has been paid to the respondent No.3 Smt. Aparna Singh by the petitioner through a Demand Draft No.004838 dated 08.08.2017 drawn on Punjab National Bank, Sant Nirankari Colony, Delhi-110009. Statements of the parties have been recorded separately. CRL.M.C. 1591/2017

In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences voluntarily and of their own free will and without any coercion, pressure, and no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings. It would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. Consequently, FIR No.908/2014 for the offences punishable under Sections 279/337/338 IPC registered at Police Station-Burari, Delhi and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

The present petition is disposed of.
