O R D E R

% 01.06.2016 The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prays for a direction to the SHO/IO of police station Harsh Vihar to afford adequate protection to the petitioners.

Notice.

Mr. Mahajan, learned Additional Standing Counsel (criminal) appearing on behalf of the police on advance notice, on instruction from SI Pawan Kumar PS Harsh Vihar, states that in view of the circumstance that the petitioners, who are adults and have married each other with their own free will and desire recently, are apprehensive of threats to their life and personal liberty, the police shall afford adequate protection to them after assessing the threat perception. The beat constable of the concerned area shall also be sensitized in this behalf. The telephone number of the beat constable as well as the SHO PS Harsh Vihar shall also be provided to the petitioners so as to enable them to contact the former in the event of any threat or apprehension. Directed accordingly.

In view of the directions issued hereinabove it is neither just nor

necessary to issue notice to the respondent no.2, who is stated to be father of petitioner no.2, particularly since no relief has been prayed for qua him and the directions issued in the present petition shall not affect him adversely in any manner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. A copy of this order be given dasti under the signature of Court Master to learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. SIDDHARTH MRIDUL, J JUNE 01, 2016/dk
