% 29.07.2016 CM No. 26777/2016, Rev Pet. 329/2016, CM No. 26776/2016 & CM No. 26775/2016 in W.P.(C) 7908/2011 It was suggested to the Army that in the absence of the specific time frame, the reprimand would operate indefinitely so as to completely eliminate the chances of the officers securing promotion or obtaining the time scale-which is being in fact the case. In the circumstances, the Court is of the opinion that the Army should indicate the time for which this reprimand would operate; after which the officer's entitlement would be worked out and further promotion would be considered.
