O R D E R

% 19.07.2017 The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with FIR No. 493/2016 dated 23.11.2016 (PS Adarsh Nagar) instituted for the offences under Sections 389/120B/365/392 IPC r/w Sections 7 and 13 of PC Act.

The petitioner, a constable, is alleged to have forced the complainant to part with money which was kept in the dash-board of the car. The money was taken on the pretext that the currency notes could not have been kept by anyone after demonetization.

The records reveal that the money was later returned to the complainant on the same day.

Interim protection was granted to the petitioner by order dated 17.04.2017 with a direction to him to participate in the investigation.

It has been submitted on behalf of the state, on instructions, that the petitioner has not evaded the investigation and has offered all assistance. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, interim bail granted to the petitioner is hereby confirmed.

In the event of arrest or surrender, the petitioner shall be released on bail on his furnishing a bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The bail application is disposed of.
