% 09.05.2026 Appellant has filed an appeal for reduction of the Award dated 30.08.2013 passed by the learned MACT Awarding compensation of Rs.15,66,081/- along with interest @ 9% from the date of filing of the claim petition.

On appeal, the Insurance Company deposited entire Awarded principal amount along with accrued interest before the Registrar General of this Hon'ble High Court in terms of the order dated 21.10.2013 passed by this Hon'ble Court and 70% of the Awarded amount along with accrued interest was also released to respondent/claimant.

After comprehensive discussions, it is agreed between the parties that the Insurance Company has instructions not to press the appeal in view of the settlement arrived in MAC APP. 533/2016 titled The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Learned Counsel for R-1/claimant has submitted that the balance amount lying deposited before the Registrar General of this Hon'ble High Court along with accrued interest be released. Learned Counsel for the Insurance Company also submits that the statutory amount with interest, if any, may be refunded to the Insurance Company.

In view of settlement, it is directed that the balance deposited amount with interest if any, not released, be released to the respondent claimant subject to compliance of all the requisite formalities. Statutory amount with interest if any, be refunded to the Insurance Company.

In terms of the aforesaid, the present appeal along with pending application (s) stand disposed of.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned learned Tribunal with LCR, if already received.
