% 28.09.2016 Matrimonial disputes between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had led to registration of present FIR 532/13 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC against the petitioners at police station Moti Nagar, on the complaint of respondent no.2.

Petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, marriage between them has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce dated 9th March, 2016 by mutual consent passed by Principal Judge, Family Court (West), Tis Hazari, Delhi. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Hari Om Prakash of police station Moti Nagar.

She admits having settled the matter with the

petitioners.

She also admits that she has already received entire settled amount of ` 5 lacs. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, their marriage has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in present criminal proceedings.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 532/13 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Moti Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
