% 01.12.2016 Present FIR No.1375/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC was registered at police station Binda Pur on the complaint of respondent no.2. Petitioner nos.1 & 2 are father-in-law and mother-in-law of respondent no.2. Petitioner no.3 is brother of petitioner no.1, petitioner no.4 is wife of petitioner no.3, petitioner no.5 is daughter of petitioner no.1 and petitioner no.6 is a distant relative of petitioner no.1. Husband of respondent no.2 died on 4th December, 2015. During the lifetime of her husband, respondent no.2 had lodged the present FIR alleging therein that she was harassed by her husband and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos.1 to 6 on the point of

dowry. Matter has been settled between petitioners and respondent no.2 before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre vide Settlement Agreement dated 22nd November, 2016, which is now marked as "Mark X". Parties shall remain bound by the terms of settlement "Mark X". In view of the settlement arrived at, respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. She submits that FIR may be quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 before the mediation centre, in the interest of justice, FIR No.1375/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Binda Pur is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
