% 26.08.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.567/2014 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners.

The complainant is present in Court. She is identified by the Investigating Officer. She has also placed on record her electoral photo identity card.

The petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 were married according to Hindu rites on 29.11.2011. Since disputes arose between the parties, they started living separately and respondent No.2 filed her complaint leading to

registration of the aforesaid FIR at Police Station Uttam Nagar. The parties have arrived at a settlement on 25.03.2015 in Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, the complainant has already received the jewellery and an amount of Rs.3 Lakhs out of the total settlement amount of Rs.4.5 Lakhs. An amount of Rs.1.5 Lakhs has been tendered to her in Court today by way of pay order No.023967 dated 08.04.2016 (revalidated on 27.0.2016) drawn on HDFC Bank, Noida Sector-10. The complainant states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
