By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking direction to the respondents to strike off his name from the surveillance register. He also prayed that his history sheet be closed and the data in the crime record be also corrected by not showing his name like a convict. 2.

Neither the petitioner nor the main counsel for the petitioner has appeared despite repeated passovers.
