The present petition has been filed by the petitioner praying inter alia for directions to the respondent-Indian Air Force to decide his representation dated 22nd April, 2016.

The petition has been listed before us subject to an office objection raised by the Registry with regard to its maintainability in the High Court. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner may be permitted to withdraw the present petition while reserving the right of the petitioner to approach the Supreme Court against the order of the Armed Forces Tribunal passed on 24.05.2016.

We may note that for reasons best known to him, the petitioner has not filed a copy of the order dated 24.02.2016, passed by the Supreme W.P.(C) 5192/2016

Court in Crl.Appeal D. No.6200/2016 whereunder, the Tribunal was requested to expedite his pending appeal.

Learned counsel for the respondents has handed over a copy of the order dated 24.05.2016, passed by the AFT whereunder, O.A.

No.74/2012 filed by the petitioner has been dismissed and his conviction and consequential sentences have been affirmed. A copy of the said order is handed over for our perusal. The order dated 24.02.2016, passed by the Supreme Court and downloaded from the internet and the order dated 24.05.2016, passed by the AFT, handed over by learned counsel for the respondents are taken on record.
