W.P.(CRL) 1771/2016 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State by the learned APP as well as by the respondent No.2, who is present in Court in person. He is represented through counsel Mr. Pranav Verma, who identifies him. The present petition has been filed to seek quashing of the FIR

No.345/2013 registered at Police Station - Sector-23, Dwarka under Section 341/ 323/ 452/ 506 read with Section 34 IPC against the petitioners on the complaint of respondent No.2. The petition is premised on settlement arrived at between the parties. The complainant Rajesh has filed his affidavit in support of the petition praying that the FIR in question may be quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that since the accused and the complainant have arrived at a settlement, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with investigation and further action on the said FIR.

Respondent No.2 states that he does not wish to pursue his complaint any further since he has arrived at a settlement with the petitioners. It is informed that petitioner No.1 was minor at the time when the incident took place.

Since respondent No.2 also joins the request for quashing of the FIR, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the same pending. The FIR in question stands quashed.
