% 24.01.2017 Petitioner has filed the present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking production of his brother who was employed as a driver with respondent No.4 and was missing since 25th April, 2016. On 13th January, 2017, we were informed by the learned Standing Counsel that the brother of the petitioner has been murdered on 26th April, 2016 although his body has not been recovered. As per the disclosure statement made, the body of the missing person was thrown in the Satluj river canal by the accused persons.

Counsel for the petitioner in the presence of the petitioner submits that a disclosure statement by itself would not be conclusive proof that his brother has been murdered. He further submits that the State be directed to

keep the petitioner informed about the progress in the matter. Having regard to the submissions made no further orders are required to be passed in the present matter. The same is disposed of. The State will inform the petitioner every two months about the progress made in the matter.
