% 13.04.2017 As per the report dated 12.04.2017 of the Medical Officer Incharge, Central Jail Hospital, Tihar, the petitioner was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for all the pre-surgery procedures and check-ups / tests. The report indicates the surgery is to be carried out in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital on 17.04.2017. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would need release on parole only for one week, and shall not seek any further extension, such release may begin from 15.04.2017. The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits no objection.
The prayer is granted. The petitioner shall be released on parole for a period of one week beginning 15.04.2017 subject to he furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety in like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. W.P.(CRL) 1017/2017
Needless to add, during the period of his release, he shall not come in contact or threaten or coerce the victim or any of her family members in any manner nor come in contact with any of the witnesses of the case against him and surrender scrupulously on the expiry of the period.
The petition is disposed of.
