% 19.09.2016 Disputes between the petitioner no. 1 (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) had led to registration of the present FIR No. 654/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Binda Pur. Petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are relatives of petitioner no. 1.

Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Dwarka Courts, New Delhi on 14th August, 2015 in Execution Petition No. 22/2015 titled Geeta Chopra vs. Kamal Chopra. It is submitted that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no.2 has already been

dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 13th May, 2016 passed by the Family Courts, Dwarka.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Sohan Lal, P.S. Binda Pur. She admits having received entire settled amount and submits that she is not willing to pursue the present FIR any further.

Keeping in mind the fact that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and marriage between them has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, the present FIR No. 654/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Binda Pur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
