O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:- "A.

From a selection committee with the representatives of petitioner federation as well as the respondent federation for selection of the national team of karate and allowing reasonable time to the players to report for the selection process.

B.

Hold a fresh selection of the TEAM INDIA for the sports of karate to participate in the Asian Games, 2018 to be held from 18th August, to 3rd Sept., 2018 Jakarata, Indonesia.

Direct the official respondents to allow the players of the petitioner federation to participate in the Asian Games, to be held from 18th August to 3rd Sept 18, Jakarata, Indonesia or any other Karate event is conducted by IOA.

D.

Selection camps of the Olympic team of karate as and when held."

Insofar as the first three prayers are concerned, the same do not survive as the Asian Games-2018 are already over. Insofar as the prayer for selection camps of Olympic Team of Karate is concerned, this Court is informed that no such camp is being organised in the near future. It is also seen that the principal dispute in the present petition relates to the tussle between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.3 as to which of them is entitled to be recognised as the National Sports Federation for Karate. The said dispute is also subject matter of two other petitions - W.P.(C) 10481/2016 and 1096/2017.

The learned counsel appearing for the IOA states that irrespective of the issues between two rival sports bodies, if any player approaches IOA with the representation that he has been excluded from a sports camp, IOA will examine the matter and take such necessary steps to ensure that no worthy player is left out of the selection process. 4.

In view of the above statement, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition.

The issue as to whether the petitioner ought to be considered as a National Sports Federation or not will be examined in other petitions as indicated above.

The petition is, accordingly, disposed of. The pending application is also disposed of.
