W.P.(C) 6076/2016 & C.M. No.24929/2016 (stay) Petitioner is stated to be a squatter of opposite to Palika Bazar, Connaught Place, New Delhi and admittedly the documents/challans filed by him in support of this submission are all challans of November and December, 2015.
Learned counsel for respondent no.1 on advance notice has put in appearance. He submits that since the petitioner was a new squatter and since has been removed he is not entitled to any protection under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and
Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 which came into effect in March, 2014.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage submits that he will take appropriate remedy before the Town Vending Committee (TVC) of respondent no.1 and submit all his documents which may then be considered by the said body.
No further orders are called for in this petition. Petition disposed of.
