W.P.(CRL) No. 2338/2016 Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 and petitioner no. 1 were married on 10th March, 2012. With the passage of time, their relations got strained.

On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 569/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC was registered

at Police Station Kanjhawala. Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 27th November, 2015.

Petitioner no. 1 has pronounced talaq.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by the Investigating Officer/ASI Kamlesh.

Respondent no. 2 admits having received entire settled amount and states that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have settled their disputes and have parted ways, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceeding pending.

In the interest of justice, FIR No. 569/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kanjhawala and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
