The present petition has been filed under Article 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioner is seeking directions to respondent Nos. 1 & 2 to provide protection and shelter to the petitioner from respondent No. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner/Rekha is a minor girl and her date of birth as per her school certificate is 8th September, 1999. The father of the petitioner, got her married on 9th May, 2016 with Vijay Gupta. The marriage of the petitioner was solemnized against her will under constant coercion and threat. The petitioner left away from the mandir along with her friend Raju on 17th May, 2016. At present she is living in tenanted premises at M-79, Fourth Floor, Left Side, Batla House, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-110025 and is praying for protection from respondent No.3.

The minor girl Rekha is present in person in the Court today and upon being questioned about her age she informed that she was born in the year 1999.

Considering that Rekha is a minor girl, counsel for the petitioner submits that any appropriate order as the Court deems fit may be passed for the welfare of the minor girl.

In the given circumstances, let the minor girl Rekha be produced before Child Welfare Committee today itself.

Ms.Nandita Rao, ASC for the State appearing on behalf of the State submits that one lady police officer shall accompany the minor girl to Child Welfare Committee today itself. Since the protection was sought for the minor girl, who is now being referred to Child Welfare Committee, CPWD Barraks, Kalkaji, New Delhi, no further direction for providing protection is necessary at this stage.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Copy of the order be given dasti to the petitioner under the signatures of the Court Master.
