Learned counsel for respondent/RPF states that the legal issue raised in the writ petition concluded vide decision dated December 07, 2009 allowing W.P.(C) No.5867/2003 T.S.Dagar & Ors. Vs. Union of India & Ors. as also decision dated January 03, 2014 in W.P.(C) No.7840/2012 Tejbir Singh Dagar & Ors. vs. Union of India & Ors. 3.
Learned counsel for respondent/RPF states that before approaching this Court the writ petitioners have not filed any representation and thus states that he has been instructed to convey no-objection of the department to the writ petition being disposed of declaring and directing that the law declared in the two afore-noted decisions binds the respondents and direction be issued to the department to appraise the facts disclosed in the W.P.(C) 5921/2016
writ petition concerning petitioners' date of initial appointment, promotion as Head Constable then as Assistant Sub-Inspector and finally as SubInspector. 4.
Counsel states that subject to the verification of the facts, if found to be correct, necessary financial upgradation benefits shall ensue. 5.
Decision would be taken within eight weeks and if favourable to the petitioners necessary payment would be made within four weeks thereafter. Non-compliance would result in interest to be paid to the petitioners reckoned from the last date fixed as per agreed schedule till date of payment at simple rate of interest at 8% per annum.

Writ petition is disposed of.
