% 21.07.2016 FIR No. 1311/14 was registered against the petitioner at Police Station Jamia Nagar under Section 379 IPC and under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 on the complaint of respondent no.2, regarding theft of electricity by the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that theft bill has been settled with the respondent no.2 for `75,500/- and the said amount has already been paid to the respondent no.2 on 16th April, 2016 by the petitioner.
It is prayed that FIR be quashed.
Learned counsel for respondent no. 2 admits that matter has been settled and the settled amount has already been received by the respondent no.2.
It is submitted that respondent no.2 has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind the above facts, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 1311/14 under Section 379 IPC and under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
