1. Notice. Mr. Satish Kumar, learned Senior Standing counsel accepts notice for the Respondents.

2. The short point urged in this writ petition is that the Petitioner's requests for provisional release of the goods which were seized on 18th February, 2016 have not yet been processed by the Respondents and no orders have been passed.

3. Mr Satish Kumar, learned Senior Standing counsel states that if a time bound direction is issued it will be complied with. W.P.(C) 5580/2016 Page 1 of 2

4. It is, accordingly, directed that the Petitioner's requests for provisional release be examined by the Deputy Commissioner (Customs) who will pass appropriate orders for provisional release, if so permissible in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from today. In the vent of noncompliance by the Respondents with the above direction, it will be open to the Petitioner to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

5. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
