Status report has been handed over, which is taken on record. 2.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole for a period of one month on the ground of ailment of his father and also aggrieved by the fact that application for parole filed to the Competent Authority on 26th June, 2018 has not been decided till date.

The status report is silent as to whether the application of the petitioner has been decided by the Competent Authority or not. On instructions from the Investigating Officer, learned counsel for the State submits that the application of the petitioner is still pending consideration. W.P.(CRL) 1938/2018

Learned counsel for the State submits that he has spoken to the concerned officer of the Home Department and states that the application of the petitioner will be decided within two weeks from today. 5.

Writ petition is disposed with the hope and expectation that the application of the petitioner is decided within two weeks by the Competent Authority.
