By this petition, the petitioner had sought directions to the respondent to revoke the passport of respondent and also extradite the respondent No. 6 to Dubai, UAE or to prosecute him in India.

The prayer for extradition of respondent No. 6 was not pressed on 16th August, 2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer for extradition of respondent No. 6 to Dubai or UAE or to prosecute him in W.P.(CRL) 1856/2016

India was not pressed on 16th August, 2017 as that stage the petitioner was neither in India nor in Dubai nor in UAE and hence at that stage first priority was revocation of the passport.

As regards the first prayer of revocation of the passport of respondent No. 6 is concerned, learned counsel for the Union of India on instructions states that the passport of the respondent No. 6, namely, Sukhmeet Singh Anand, has been revoked. Copy of the communication dated 17th September, 2018 from Senior Superintendent Policy Regional Passport Office to Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs has been handed over which is taken on record and the copy of the same is handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner as well.

First prayer in the petition having been satisfied learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petitioner with liberty to take remedies in accordance with law for the further prosecution of respondent No. 6.

Leave and liberty granted.

Petition is disposed of as withdrawn.
