% 12.07.2016 By this petition the petitioner seeks quashing of the FIR No.148/2016 under Section 376 IPC registered at PS Palam Village on the ground that the petitioner and the respondent No.2/complainant have solemnised the marriage on 22nd April, 2016 and are living happily.

In view of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported as Gian Singh vs. State 2012 (9) Scale 257 it will not be in the interest of justice for this Court to quash the FIR under Section 376 IPC which is a serious offence. After some arguments learned counsel seeks leave to withdraw the present petition.

Leave granted.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
