% 06.07.2018 Issue notice. Ms. Kamna Vohra, the learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice.

At joint requests of the parties, the petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner has been granted Furlough by the State vide order dated 26.03.2018 for a period of three weeks from the date of his release. He has been unable to enjoy the liberty so granted since he is unable to comply with the first condition of furnishing one surety in the sum of Rs.10,000/- along with a personal bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned.

The petitioner seeks modification of the said condition by depositing a sum of Rs.10,000/- in cash in lieu of the surety bond. Since the petitioner is depositing the entire amount, the condition of furnishing one surety of Rs.10,000/- would not be necessary. The order stands modified accordingly. The other terms and conditions shall remain unaltered. The order is modified to the extent that the petitioner is permitted to deposit the amount of Rs.10,000/- in lieu of one surety in the sum of Rs.10,000/-.

With the above directions the writ petition is disposed off. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties.
