O R D E R

% 20.07.2016 The petitioners are aggrieved by the rejection letter dated 17.05.2016 wherein the renewal of their license could not be considered as admittedly no reply had been filed by the petitioners. This Court has been informed that an appeal against the rejection letter dated 17.05.2016 has been filed and is pending before the competent body i.e. Deputy Commissioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that they were not the new licensees of meat shop; they had only sought renewal of their license and the submission of the respondent that a no-objection has to be obtained from the Area Counsellor would not be applicable to him. His second submission is that the office order dated 01.01.2016 states that the license is required only for a new licensee and not for a person seeking renewal of his license. This position is disputed by the learned counsel for the respondent; his submission is that even for

a renewal of a license, necessary permission has to be obtained from the Area Counsellor. Since admittedly the appeal is pending before the Deputy Commissioner, these submissions which have been noted above shall be considered by the Deputy Commissioner who shall consider and decide them in accordance with law. Petition disposed of.
