O R D E R

% 16.07.2018 The petitioner seeks parole for 30 days essentially to take care of his minor daughter, who is undergoing medication. The petitioner has been imprisoned for life and has served about 10 years 5 months and 26 days with remissions earned of 8 months and 5 days as of 13.07.2018. His Nominal Roll shows that his conduct in the jail for the last one year has been satisfactory. The labour allotted to him as "Chakkar Assistant" too is satisfactory. The petitioner has already been granted parole twice on 05.06.2017 and 15.11.2017 i.e. for a period of 3 weeks and 4 weeks respectively and he has not misused the liberty granted. The petitioner's minor daughter of 16 years has undergone a traumatic phase of illness and is receiving medical treatment. It is the petitioner's case that the nature of ailment requires paternal support and that he also has to

make relevant arrangements for her medication and other expenses. In view of the above, the Court finds no impediment in allowing the present petition. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of one month from the date of his release, on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned subject to the following conditions:- (1) The petitioner shall report to the SHO, concerned Police Station Subhash Place, once a week on every Tuesday, during the period of parole.

(2) He shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO concerned, which the petitioner shall keep operational at all times (3) He shall not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi. (4) The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

With the above directions the writ petition is disposed-off. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties and a copy be also sent to the Jail Superintendent through police for compliance.
