W.P.(CRL) 1995/2016 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State as well as by respondent No.2, who is present in person. He has produced his driving license as proof of his identity, a copy whereof is retained on record. The petitioners have file this petition to seek the quashing of FIR No.103/2012 registered at PS Prashant Vihar under Section
420/468/471/120B IPC on the complaint of respondent No.2. The case of the petitioner is that disputes arose between them in regard to parcel of land admeasuring 1 biga 6 biswas in Khasra No.485 in village Qadipur. The same led to the filing of civil as well as criminal proceedings inter se the parties.
The parties have arrived at a compromise on 03.05.2013, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, the parties have settled their disputes and agreed to the quashing of the FIR in question. Respondent No.2, who is present in court, states that he has entered into the settlement out of his own free will and also joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR. In these circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding with the investigation of the FIR in question. The same is, accordingly, quashed. Petition stands disposed of.
