% 01.08.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.390/2011 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Section 420 IPC against the petitioners. Respondent no.2 has preferred a civil suit in relation to the property which was the matter of dispute between the parties and the same was decreed in appeal. The parties have arrived at a settlement vide MOU dated 05.05.2016.

The complainant who is present in Court is identified by the IO as well as the counsel.

In terms of the settlement, out of Rs.10 lacs, Rs.8 lacs already stands paid and the balance amount of Rs.2 lacs has been paid in court today. In view of the above, the complainant also joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
