Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no.2 Ms. Jaishree is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by ASI Rajender Kumar of police station Defence Colony.

It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 are husband and wife. They have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 4th August, 2017. It is further submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 are living together. Terms of the settlement have already been complied with; therefore, FIR No. 210/2013

under Sections 498-A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Defence Colony and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 further says that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against all the petitioners.

Affidavit of respondent no. 2 to this effect is also on record at pages 10-11.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
