This is a petition seeking quashing of Crl. Complaint Case No. 479/2007 u/s 135 &151 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and order dated 20.07.2009 framing notice u/s 251 CrPC before the Court of learned ASJ, Spl Courts, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi.

As per the complaint, the petitioner was using electricity illegally. 3.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 22.11.2024 before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Delhi High Court wherein the parties have resolved their disputes and the respondent No. 1 is not recovering any amount from the petitioner.

Mr. Moksh Arora, learned counsel appears for respondent No. 1 and makes the above statement on instructions.

settlement is legal and binding.

Both parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. 8.

For the said reasons, the Crl. Complaint Case No. 479/2007 u/s 135 &151 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and order dated 20.07.2009 framing notice u/s 251 CrPC before the Court of learned ASJ, Spl Courts, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi as well as any other consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
