After addressing arguments for some time, learned counsel for the appellants seeks leave to withdraw the present appeals while reserving the right of his clients to make a representation to the Directorate of Education in respect of the compliance report filed by the private respondents No. 2 and 3/School, before the learned Single Judge in CONT. CAS.(C) Nos. 797/2018 and 798/2018.
CONT.APP.(C) 8/2018 & CONT.APP.(C) 9/2018
2.
We may note that under the impugned order, the appellants were granted a period of two weeks to make a representation to the Directorate of Education. The impugned order had made it clear that on such a representation being received, the Director of Education shall ensure that the benefit of the Recommendations of the 6th CPC reckoned for a period of three years prior to the date of filing of the writ petitions by the appellants, shall be granted to them and their pay shall be re-fixed. The appellants have failed to submit any representation to the respondents despite an opportunity granted to them.
3.
In the interest of justice, the timeline granted to the appellants to submit a representation is extended by two weeks reckoned from today. If the appellants make such a representation within the extended timeline, then the respondent/Directorate of Education shall make necessary compliances of the impugned order dated 02.5.2018.
4.
The appeals are disposed of along with the pending applications. HIMA KOHLI, J REKHA PALLI, J JULY 24, 2018 ap CONT.APP.(C) 8/2018 & CONT.APP.(C) 9/2018
