O.M.P. (MISC.) 12/2018 This petition has been filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Sole Arbitrator adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding dated 01.09.2014.

The learned counsel for the respondent submits that he has no objection if the prayer made by the petitioner is granted. In fact, he submits that the time for making of the Award be extended for a further period of six months keeping in view the nature of the disputes involved and the proceedings being undertaken by the Arbitrator. Having perused the contents of the petition and submissions made by the counsel for the respondent, the time for making of the award is extended

by a further period of six months w.e.f. 06.07.2018. The petition is allowed in the above terms, with no order as to cost. NAVIN CHAWLA, J JULY 12, 2018/rv
