CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV SACHDEVA

O R D E R

% 08.07.2016 W.P.(C) No.5735/2016 & CM No.23661/2016(stay) By order dated 24.06.2016, this petition was directed to be listed on 07.07.2016. Since 07.07.2016 was declared a holiday, the matter has been taken up today.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner had a license to manufacture its seven products, however, by an order dated 12.01.2016, the respondent cancelled the licence and asked the petitioner to apply for new drug approval on the ground that the said products constituted new drugs and a fresh licence was required to be obtained. Consequent thereto, the petitioner surrendered its existing licences and applied for issuance of fresh licence on 08.02.2016. It is contended that the respondent has not decided

on the said application till date on account of which, the petitioner is no longer in a position to manufacture its products. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the application shall be disposed of expeditiously.

The respondent is directed to dispose of the application filed on 08.02.2016 by the petitioner within a period of three weeks from today. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. SANJEEV SACHDEVA, J JULY 08, 2016 'sn'
