The petitioner filed the present writ petition seeking directions to investigate into the irregularities caused in the Modern Art Gallery. The present petition has been filed in wake of misplacement of modern art painting of Rabindranath Tagore from the Modern Art Gallery. 2.

We find from the record that the petitioner has not approached the concerned Ministry of Culture/Union of India before availing his remedy before this court.

In this background, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to treat this writ petition as a representation and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within six weeks from today. Such order shall be communicated to the petitioner and in case the issue sought to be espoused is not fully resolved, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh

writ petition.
