% 16.07.2018 The three petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent No.1-Commissioner Custom, IGI Airport, New Delhi. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that they were detained on 05.05.2018 on the ground of possessing more than one kilogram each of gold, which they sought to clandestinely smuggle. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the repeated representations to the respondent No.1 to release the goods and enable them to be re-exported have not been considered. Having regard to the limited nature of the relief sought in the petitions, the respondents are directed to ensure that the respondent No.1 considers the petitioners‟ representations and after granting them necessary opportunity of hearing, as is essential to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, passes appropriate orders by 31.07.2018.
The writ petitions are disposed of in the above terms. A copy of the order be given dasti under the signatures of the Court Master.
