The prayer made in the petition is for extension of time. 3.

The record shows that Hon'ble Mr. Justice B.D. Ahmed, Former Chief Justice, Jammu & Kashmir High Court, was appointed as a Sole Arbitrator for re-hearing the matter by virtue of order dated 16.03.2018 passed by this Court.

3.1 Furthermore, the Court required the learned arbitrator to pass a final award, albeit, within four months from the date of its order. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 154/2018

Record further shows that since the arbitration record from the earlier arbitrator was received by Hon'ble Mr. Justice B.D. Ahmed only on 04.06.2018, the time line fixed by this court was rendered, in effect, unrealistic.

5.1 This apart, since counsels were not available in the month of June, 2018, a consensus was reached that they would file a joint application for extension of time.

It is in these circumstances that this application has been moved. 7.

Accordingly, as agreed by counsel for the parties and having regard to what is recorded hereinabove, the time for passing the final award in the matter shall stand extended by a period of six months. 7.1 The time for the said purpose will commence from today. 8.

Furthermore, directions issued by me via this order shall to the extent indicated above modify the order dated 16.03.2018. 9.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 10.
