O R D E R

% 30.08.2016 By this writ petition, petitioner seeks parole on the ground of maintaining social ties and also to take care of his wife, who is undergoing treatment for spondylitis. Address of the petitioner has been verified. A perusal of nominal roll shows that petitioner was released on furlough on earlier occasions.

It is not the case that petitioner has misused the concession of furlough granted to him. It is trite to say that every convict, who is in incarceration for a long period, if released on parole it is good for his physical and mental health. In this case, petitioner is in incarceration for more than seven years.

Keeping in mind the totality of circumstances, petition is allowed and

petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of one month from the date of his release, subject to furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the jail superintendent. During the parole period, petitioner shall report to SHO of the Police Station Jafarpur Kalan once a week at 10:30 am on Mondays and give his contact number to the SHO concerned. On completion of parole period, petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent Jail.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for serving it upon the petitioner and for compliance.
