% 18.07.2018 CM No.28009/2018(exemption) Exemption allowed, subject to just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.
CONT.CAS(C) 515/2018 This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of order dated 9th May, 2018 passed by this Court in WP(C) No.4995/2018.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide the aforesaid order the respondents were directed to consider the petitioner's legal notice dated 6th April, 2018 and pass a speaking order thereon within a period of four weeks. He submits that till date the respondents have not communicated any decision on the said legal notice to the petitioner, thereby compelling the petitioner to approach this Court vide the present petition.
Ms. Suruchi Suri, learned counsel who appears on advance notice for the respondents, while regretting the delay on part of the respondents in passing a speaking order has handed over a copy of the order dated 9th July, 2018 whereby the respondents have rejected the claim made by the petitioner in her legal notice. In view of the speaking order having been passed by the respondents, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present contempt petition. It is made clear that the petitioner would be at liberty to challenge the aforesaid order dated 9-7-2018 in accordance with law.
In view of the above, the petition is dismissed as not pressed. REKHA PALLI, J JULY 18, 2018 ak
