% 05.09.2016 The status report has been filed by the State. The facts stated by the petitioner have been got verified. The petitioner has a 18 years old daughter apart from two sons. His address has also been got verified. The jail conduct of the petitioner is stated to be satisfactory and this is the only case where he is reportedly involved. The petitioner is undergoing life sentence upon conviction under Section 302 IPC. He has undergone 7 years, 11 months and 29 days incarceration as on 02.06.2016 apart from earning remission of 1 year, 4 months and 4 days.
It is pointed out by learned counsel for the State that the last furlough was granted to the petitioner between 08.03.2016 to 29.03.2016 and a period of 6 months has not elapsed since the date of his surrender on the last occasion.
In view of the aforesaid, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole with effect from 30.09.2016 for a period of four weeks. The same is subject to his furnishing personal bond with one surety in the sum of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. During the period of his parole, he shall mark his attendance at the local police station concerned on every Monday at 11 a.m. He shall duly surrender at the end of the parole period.
