17.03.2017 This matter was mentioned by Mr. Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel, before this Court on 16.03.2017. Mr. Mehra informed the court that the son of the petitioner has been traced. Court was informed that the missing VA person would be produced in court on 17.03.2017 and the petitioner/her counsel would be informed accordingly. The matter has been listed today upon mentioning.

The petitioner, being mother of the missing person, has filed the present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for production of her son, who was last in police custody. When the matter was listed on 15.07.2016, Mr. Mehra, learned counsel had informed the court that based on an FIR registered at the instance of the father of Shivani, a

minor, the son of the petitioner had been arrested and before he could be produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate, he managed to run away from the lockup. We were also informed that an FIR bearing No, 298/2016 U/s. 223/224 of IPC, PS Nangloi has been registered against him and also against Constable Pradeep and Duty Officer Head Constable Om Prakash, who have also been placed under suspension. Matter was thereafter adjourned from time to time to enable the State to produce La! Singh. La! Singh has been produced in court today. The parents of La! Singh are also present along with their counsel.

In view of the fact that Lal Singh has been produced, counsel for petitioner submits that no further orders are required to be passed. The petition is disposed of accordingly.

The date of 18.04.20 17 stands cancelled.
