Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioners for quashing of the FIR No.719/2007 registered under Sections 498A/34 IPC at PS Vasant Kunj, Delhi. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the respondent No.2 / complainant before the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Delhi on 24.03.2015.

Respondent No.2 / complainant - with her counsel is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have

made enquiries from respondent No.2 if the dispute has been settled by her with the petitioners of her own free will without any fear or pressure. She has stated that the dispute with the petitioners has been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. She also states that all the payments agreed to have been received.

Petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Copy of settlement order dated 24.03.2015 is on record. Divorce by mutual consent has been granted. Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation and to settle in life after divorce, FIR No.719/2007 registered under Sections 498A/34 IPC at PS Vasant Kunj, Delhi and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.

The petitioners are directed to deposit ` 15,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
