% 12.10.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2-Rakhi is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Devender of police station Dabri. It is submitted that petitioner is elder brother-in-law of respondent no.2 and with the intervention of elders in the family, petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated 4th December, 2017.

Respondent no.2 admits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion in terms of MOU and that she has no objection in case FIR No.1042/2015 under sections 451/354(A)/506 IPC registered at police station Dabri and the consequent proceedings are quashed against the petitioner.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner.
