% 20.12.2016 This matter was listed initially before the Single Judge of this Court and was to be listed on 14th December, 2016.

However, this matter was listed before this Bench on 9th December, 2016 and has been on board. But none has been appearing on behalf of the petitioner. Two reliefs are sought in this writ petition. Firstly a direction to the respondents to remove the hawkers from the front of the Indian Oil Building and secondly direction to the respondent to reopen the connecting road next to the handloom house as it existed prior to construction of handloom house so as to allow ease of access to the Janpath Bhawan and also to allow access of emergency

services. As far as second relief sought is concerned, we grant liberty to the petitioners to approach the Traffic Police by filing a representation. In case a representation is made, the same would be considered in accordance with law and expeditiously. However, as far as first relief is concerned, in view of the Delhi Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules, 2014, a generalized relief cannot be granted at this stage.

However, since none is appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the petition is dismissed for non appearance.
