CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 17.07.2018 It is submitted that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 before the Permanent Lok Adalat. Copy of the award of Permanent Lok Adalat is on record. Counsel for respondent no. 2 admits that matter has been settled before the Permanent Lok Adalat, inasmuch as settled amount has been paid.
Counsel for respondent no. 2 says that respondent no. 2 has no objection in case FIR NO. 453/2015 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act (Amend.), 2003 registered at Police Station Neb Sarai and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are
quashed.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
