% 19.09.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Respondent no.2-Mr. Manav Chopra is present in Court along with his counsel, who accepts notice. He has been identified by SI Dharmendra Pratap Singh of police station Samaipur Badli.

Respondent no.2 submits that petitioner is his ex-wife. Their marriage has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 16.01.2018 passed by Family Court, North West District, Rohini Court, New Delhi. Respondent no.2 further submits that he has settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Compromise Deed dated 08.12.2017. He has no objection in

case FIR No. 65/2012 under Sections 419/420/468/471 IPC registered at police station Samaipur Badli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily and the fact that their marriage has already been dissolved, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
